My philosophy of coaching is captured in a quote is by Walter Annenberg:
“I want to remind you success in life is based on hard slogging. There will be periods when discouragement is great and upsetting, and the antidote for this is calmness and fortitude and a modest yet firm belief in your competence. Be sure that your priorities are in order so that you can proceed in a logical manner, and be ever mindful that nothing will take the place of persistence.” Walter Annenberg
Reinforcing what Walter said above, and using many of his words, this is what I believe to be important qualities for any career coach; a belief in your competence, being calm and encouraging fortitude, making sure your process is effective, reminding you persistence will pay off and an absolute commitment to confidentiality.
Philosophy and Approach
I have had the privilege of giving career and job search advice to over 1000 managers and executives in the last 16 years.
My approach is tailored to your needs but I also make sure you are totally comfortable with the fundamentals of a job search including:
- A world class resume and LinkedIn profile.
- The ins and outs of interviewing, especially the phone screen, since 99% of first interviews and over 60% of second interviews are over the phone.
- Networking, salary negotiations and on boarding.
My goal is to help you outshine your competition. If this approach makes sense, please contact me. Your first session is free.
